A Passion for Joinery

Founded by apprentice-trained carpenter Andrew Stowe, our story began in 2010 with a commitment to delivering the highest standards of craftsmanship for a wide range of building projects. As the business grew, so did the demand for high-quality, custom joinery—leading to the creation of a dedicated joinery division.

We established a purpose-built workshop in Marlesford, where a team of skilled joiners and carpenters now produce exceptional made-to-measure furniture and fittings. With this new facility and the addition of an assembly studio and dedicated paint and finishing workshop, Stowe Joinery has evolved into a specialist service in its own right, supplying bespoke timber work not only for our own building projects, but for architects, contractors and private clients across the region.

Today, Stowe Joinery creates handcrafted staircases, windows, doors, cabinetry, and architectural joinery for a wide range of settings—from heritage restorations to modern homes and commercial interiors. Whether it’s an elegant kitchen, custom storage, or a feature staircase, every item is built with care, precision, and a deep respect for materials.

Thanks to our in-house building team, we can not only craft the perfect kitchen, but can build the space to house it too!

Premium Sustainable Timber

At Stowe Joinery, we work exclusively with trusted, certified timber merchants to ensure every piece of wood we use is responsibly sourced and of exceptional quality. Our carefully selected species—Utile, Sapele, Douglas Fir, European Oak, and Accoya—are chosen for their strength, beauty, and sustainability.

Wood is more than just a material—it’s a natural resource we deeply respect. That’s why we commit to sustainable practices at every stage of our joinery process.

Our Preferred Timbers

Utile

A beautifully rich and durable hardwood from West Africa, Utile is known for its smooth grain and deep colour. Its strength and stability make it a versatile choice—ideal for windows, doors, and fine joinery.

European Oak

A timeless classic, European Oak offers unmatched charm and character. With a distinctive silver grain, pleasant aroma, and exceptional durability, it’s perfect for interiors, furniture, flooring, and high-end bespoke joinery.

Douglas Fir

Valued for its tight grain and natural resin content, Douglas Fir is incredibly stable and weather-resistant. Originally sourced in Victorian times, this Canadian timber is still a trusted choice for traditional and contemporary window and door frames.

Accoya

Accoya is a revolutionary timber, modified through a patented acetylation process that enhances durability and prevents moisture absorption. It offers outstanding performance in all climates and is ideal for exterior joinery.
